Friday night was the launch of a new supplement product called 2 Second, at Crazy Horse in Kanata. The big deal for the night was the fact that Entourage star Kevin Dillon (he's also the bro of Matt Dillon), was in Ottawa and going to make an appearance. Thanks to the awesome people at EMC, I was able to to get a VIP pass. It was insanely busy and he was being mauled pretty much the entire night, with his body guards, publicists, managers, whoever else by his side. I was able to quickly snag this shot right before he asked me why I was using a telephoto lens.. I was using a 24-70. I replied with a laugh and a sheepish "ummmm.. it's actually pretty wide!". He then was hurried along to go have drinks in his private booth for a while before the 'press photos' in front of the sponsor background thing. At that point I felt like paparazzi (blahh) with all the other photogs getting the same shots and stuff. Overall it was a really interesting night and I managed to walk out of there with this pic, an awkward memory, and without banging my gear too often (or too severely..). In other news, been doing some other paid gigs lately. More to come on those later.

He was actually a biochemical engineer for a while before focusing his career on music. I think that's pretty cool. He also made his album a free download for everyone. I think the cover art is sweet too.
