Movember Calendar

Last month I had the pleasure of shooting an image for a Movember charity calendar. This was all put together by the Socialistas, a group of Ottawa women contributing to social causes. Right now they are concentrating on the Movember effort, which raises money for prostate cancer research and men's mental health initiatives. To do something different, they decided to ask some Ottawa photographers to contribute their time and an image to a calendar they would sell for fundraising. When I got an an email from Hailley Griffis about photographing her, I gladly jumped on it. The general idea for the calendar was to have all the Socialistas photographed with a fake moustache, or 'faux mo'. The photographers had complete creative control, so I decided to go for a plastic doll-like theme. Thanks to Lauren McCarter for doing a great job on the makeup.
