Marc Mayer and Supreme Court Clerks

To ring in the new year on the blog, I have some of my last published photos of 2013 to share.

McGill News Alumni Magazine asked me to shoot two features for them here in Ottawa. The first job was group portraits of five Supreme Court clerks that are all McGill grads. Even though they had extremely tight schedules, they were all very accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

The other assignment was to photograph the Director of the National Gallery, Marc Mayer. A really chill guy, not at all the typical art snob you might imagine. I got to photograph him in front of one of his favourite works (The Vessel, by David Altmejd) among others, and in the foyer of the Contemporary Art area of the gallery. One of the (cropped) photos made it to the cover with a couple inside. You can check out the full articles online here.
